About the Program
This annual weekend program, offered exclusively for the emergency services personnel of Pennsylvania, is a joint venture of the National Fire Academy Field Programs Division and the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy.
The NFA hosts the state weekend in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and provides instructors and course materials.
The Pennsylvania State Fire Academy selects the courses and recruits and registers the participants according to established student selection criteria.
On-campus lodging and meals are provided at no cost.
Meals include breakfast and lunch for Saturday and Sunday, and dinner on Saturday. On Saturday evening, participants can engage in a memorial service for Pennsylvania emergency responders we have lost in the line of duty.
