Incident Safety Officer
Purpose
The purpose of this program is to identify emergency service personnel who demonstrate the knowledge of and skills competency related to incident safety officers. The NFPA Standard for Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualifications, identifies the minimum requirements for a person at this level to observe measureable outcomes for emergency responders.
A person certified at the Incident Safety Officer level will have demonstrated competency in the knowledge and ability to identify hazards and risks to life safety.
