Fire and Emergency Services Instructor II

Purpose

The purpose of this program is to identify emergency service personnel who demonstrate the knowledge of and skills competency related to adult instruction. The NFPA Standard for Fire and Emergency Services Instructor Professional Qualifications identifies the minimum requirements for a person at the second level of progression.

A person certified at the Fire and Emergency Services Instructor II level will have demonstrated the ability to coordinate other instructors and to develop lesson plans and instructional aids based on a task analysis. An instructor at this level is also capable of using various teaching methods.
